Author characteristics, topic distribution, and future development of research on scientific journals in China: Based on CiteSpace analysis of highly cited literature

摘要:

【目的】 回顾国内科技期刊研究领域的高被引文献,了解该研究领域的发展现状以提升其学术影响力并推动中国科技期刊能力建设。【方法】 借助CiteSpace可视化应用软件对中国知网中以“科技期刊”为关键词的高被引文献的发表时间、期刊来源、作者和内容进行分析。【结果】 国内科技期刊研究的高被引文献主要集中在2005—2007年和2011—2014年两个时间段,《编辑学报》与《中国科技期刊研究》是主要刊载期刊,中华医学会杂志社等为主要研究机构,研究者主要关注期刊编辑、变革与转型、影响力提升与评价体系等议题。【结论】 中国科技期刊研究以实践为主要导向,重点探寻期刊的影响力提升和发展路径。未来研究应加强学术合作和理论探索,以问题意识为驱动,持续关注技术对科技期刊发展的影响。

Abstract:

[Purposes] This paper aims to review the highly cited literature in the research field of scientific journals in China and understand the development status of this research field in order to enhance its academic influence and promote the development of scientific journals in China. [Methods] Using CiteSpace, the publication time, journal sources, authors, and contents of highly cited literature were analyzed with the keyword "scientific journal" in the CNKI. [Findings] Highly cited literature in scientific journals in China is mainly concentrated in two time periods: 2005-2007 and 2011-2014, and Acta Editologica and Chinese Journal of Scientific and Technical Periodicals are two main publishing sources. Major research institutions include the Chinese Medical Association Publishing House and others. Researchers primarily focus on the topics such as journal editing, change and transformation, impact enhancement, and evaluation systems. [Conclusions] The research on scientific journals in China is primarily practice-oriented with a focus on exploring ways to enhance journal impact and development. Future research should strengthen academic collaboration and theoretical exploration driven by problem awareness, and continue to focus on the impact of technology on the development of scientific journals.
