Status quo and model of communication power evaluation of scientific journals: Based on the 5W mode of communication

摘要:

【目的】构建科技期刊传播力评价模型,为我国科技期刊传播力建设和评价提供参考。【方法】 采用文献综述法,以5W传播模式为理论框架,探讨科技期刊传播力评价的特征和内涵。透过评价相关理论和实践研究现状,对应传播维度、梳理评价要素、归纳评价方法。【结果】 构建包含品牌权威度、信息服务力、渠道输出力、需求响应力、活动认同度5项一级指标及媒体矩阵等13项二级指标的科技期刊传播力多维评价模型,实现对科技期刊传播活动及成效的全局性、系统性揭示。【结论】 围绕科技期刊传播力评价各项关切议题形成解决方案,完善期刊评价研究和管理体系,切实发挥评价机制功能,促进我国科技期刊能力建设和高质量发展。

Abstract:

[Purposes] The aim of this paper is to construct an evaluation model for communication power of scientific journals so as to provide a reference for enhancing and assessing the communication power of Chinese scientific journals. [Methods] Through literature research and according to the 5W mode of communication, we discussed the characteristics and connotation of communication power evaluation of scientific journals. In view of the current theoretical and practical research progress and gaps, we summarized the communication dimensions, evaluation elements, and evaluation methods. [Findings] We construct a multidimensional evaluation model of the communication power of scientific journals, which includes the five first-level indexes of brand authority, information service, channel output, response to demand, and social recognition, and thirteen second-level ones such as media matrix, for assessing the communication activities and effect of scientific journals across the board. [Conclusions] A model targeting all aspects in the evaluation of communication power of scientific journals can help improve the research on and management of journal evaluation, bring into play the function of evaluation mechanism, and boost the capacity and development of scientific journals.
