地学类非SCI收录中文期刊质量提升途径——基于地学科技工作者对成果发表需求的现状调研

Ways to improve the quality of non-SCI Chinese geological journals: Current status of the demand of geoscientists for publishing

摘要:

【目的】 在优秀稿源大量外流的情况下,深入了解地学科技工作者投稿行为的倾向性,探索地学类非SCI收录中文期刊争取优秀稿件、提高期刊学术质量的途径。【方法】 采用问卷调查方式了解地学科技工作者的投稿习惯,分析不同作者群体的需求,结合《矿物岩石地球化学通报》的办刊实践进行讨论,提出获取高质量论文的方法。【结果】 作者投稿时普遍注重期刊的品牌、数据库收录状况、期刊影响因子,以及稿件评审、出版周期等因素。不同作者群体发表文章的目的明显不同,因此在选择发文期刊上有明显的倾向性。科技工作者普遍期待期刊的数字化,尤以微信等移动传播方式最为广泛接受。【结论】 地学类非SCI收录的中文期刊特别需要加强约稿、组稿的力度,选择合适的组稿负责人是关键;学术共同体的资源和平台优势有助于期刊获得优质稿源。提高数字化程度、缩短出版周期和提高审稿质量,有利于期刊获得优质稿源。

Abstract:

[Purposes] Under the current situation that a large number of excellent research papers outflow, this article aims at completely understanding the tendency of authors' submission practices, exploring the ways to obtain excellent research paper, and improving the quality of non-SCI Chinese journals. [Methods] The questionnaire survey was used to understand the submission habits of geoscientists, analyze the needs of different author groups, and propose the methods for improving the quality of non-SCI Chinese geological journals combined with the practice of Bulletin of Mineralogy, Petrology and Geochemistry. [Findings] Authors pay attention to the characters of journals, such as brand, SCI inclusion, impact factor, peer review, and publication cycle. Authors' selection on journals varies with the purposes of the publication. In addition, geoscientists generally look forward to the digital publication, and WeChat is the most widely accepted platform for such kind of publication practice. [Conclusions] The non-SCI Chinese geological journals need to pay more efforts to organize papers, and the contributing editor who is responsible for papers is vital. The resources and platforms of science and technology society organizations can help journals to obtain excellent papers. Improving digitalization, shortening the publishing cycle, and improving the quality of peer review are conducive to attracting excellent papers, and eventually improve the quality and impact of the journal.
