Abstract:

[Purposes] This paper discusses the application of podcasts in foreign scientific journals, and provides suggestions for the transformation and development of journals in China by podcasts. [Methods] Using the methods of literature analysis and case study, this paper studied the application practice of podcasts in academic knowledge dissemination in foreign representative journals, and summarized the feasible strategies of podcast application in Chinese scientific journals according to the characteristics of Chinese scientific journals. [Findings] Foreign scientific journals use podcasts to promote open access to academic resources, strengthen the stickiness of publishing institutions and users, and expand the scope of academic knowledge services. Chinese scientific journals should seize the good opportunities of the rapid development of the podcast industry, the "going global" strategy of scientific journals, and the encouragement of knowledge opening and sharing in China, to create distinctive podcast content from the aspects of building knowledge service scenarios, expanding profit models, standardizing podcast operation, creating incentive mechanisms, strengthening social attributes, and enhancing user interaction. [Conclusions] Under the converging media scenario, Chinese scientific journals can use podcasts to promote wider dissemination of academic knowledge and open up an innovative transformation path to improve the international influence of Chinese scientific journals, thereby better promoting the transformation from knowledge dissemination to knowledge service, and achieving greater economic and social benefits.

【目的】 探讨国外科技期刊对播客的应用实践,为国内科技期刊利用播客进行转型和发展提供建议。【方法】 采用文献分析法和个案研究法,研究国外代表性期刊利用播客进行学术知识传播的应用实践,同时结合我国科技期刊自身的特点,总结国内科技期刊应用播客的可行策略。【结果】 国外科技期刊利用播客推动学术资源开放获取、增强出版机构用户黏性、扩大学术知识服务范围。我国科技期刊应抓住播客产业迅速发展、科技期刊“走出去”、国家鼓励知识开放共享的良好机遇,从搭建知识服务场景、拓展盈利模式、规范播客运营、打造激励机制、强化社交属性、增强用户互动等方面打造有特色的播客内容。【结论】 在融媒场景下,我国科技期刊不仅可以利用播客推动学术知识更广泛的传播,还可以开辟一条创新转型路径,从而提高我国科技期刊的国际影响力,更好地促进知识传播向知识服务转变,取得更大的经济效益和社会效益。
