摘要:

【目的】 探究Cell出版社多期刊投稿模式,系统分析该模式在优化投稿、审稿等出版流程方面的积极作用,为我国科技期刊创新投稿、审稿等出版流程提供借鉴。【方法】 通过网络调研和对比分析,系统梳理Cell出版社的多期刊投稿模式的工作流程、优势和不足。【结果】 多期刊投稿模式借助由多期刊并行投稿、多编辑协商、多组审稿人评审、多轮目标期刊簇构建的“四多”流程,提升稿件与期刊的匹配度、丰富作者的投稿路径选择、助力期刊留住优质稿件、优化投稿体验和服务,增强出版集团影响力,但该模式也存在编辑工作量大、浪费审稿资源等问题。【结论】 可借鉴Cell出版社的多期刊投稿模式,探索创新我国科技期刊投稿、审稿等出版流程。有条件的期刊可通过打造期刊集群、扩大编辑和审稿队伍、建立一体化出版平台等方式,探索多期刊投稿模式。

Abstract:

[Purposes] This paper aims to explore the multi-journal submission (MJS) in Cell Press, analyze its positive role in enhancing the publication process of submission and review, and provide a reference for the innovation of submission and review processes in Chinese scientific journals. [Methods] Through network research and comparative analysis, the workflow, advantages, and disadvantages of the MJS in Cell Press were systematically reviewed. [Findings] The MJS improves the matching degree between manuscripts and journals, enriches authors' submission paths, helps journals retain high-quality manuscripts, optimizes the submission experience and service, and elevates the influence of publishing groups through the process of parallel submission of multiple journals, negotiation among multiple editors, review by multiple reviewers, and construction of multiple target journal clusters. In addition, this MJS also has problems such as a heavy editing workload and waste of review resources. [Conclusions] The MJS in Cell Press can be taken as a reference to explore innovative submission, review, and other publishing processes of Chinese scientific journals. Journals with sufficient conditions can explore the MJS by creating journal clusters, expanding the editorial and review team, and establishing an integrated publishing platform.
