摘要：

【目的】 探讨英文科技期刊初创阶段提高国际影响力的重要举措,为新创办英文科技期刊提供参考。【方法】 从邀约稿件、学术质量把控、同行评议进程追踪、出版模式和宣传渠道等角度入手,通过流程展示和数据分析,总结Phytopathology Research创办过程中的经验和不足。【结果】 Phytopathology Research在创刊3年内先后被DOAJ、ESCI、Scopus和SCIE收录,从无到有实现跨越式发展,在植物科学领域位列Q1区。【结论】 以邀约高质量稿件为主带动自由投稿质量提升、通过编委负责制把控稿件质量、科学追踪管理同行评议进程、高质量编辑加工、全开放获取出版,以及多渠道对外宣传是快速提升新创办英文科技期刊影响力的重要措施。

Abstract:

[Purposes] This paper aims to discuss major measures to enhance the international impact of an English scientific journal at its initial stage and provide references for other newly launched English scientific journals. [Methods] From the perspectives of manuscript invitation, academic quality control, peer review process tracking, publishing model, and promotion channels, this paper summarized the experience and weaknesses of building Phytopathology Research by review process demonstration and submission data analysis. [Findings] Phytopathology Research has been indexed by DOAJ, ESCI, Scopus, and SCIE during its first three-year building, realized leap-forward development, and has been placed as Q1 in the category of plant sciences. [Conclusions] Several important measures can rapidly enhance the impact of newly launched English scientific journals. The quality of free submitted manuscripts can be improved with the focus on inviting high-quality ones, and the editorial board member is responsible for controlling manuscript quality. Additionally, scientific tracking and management of peer review process, high-level editing service, open access policy, and multiple-channel promotion are also major ways.
