摘要：

【目的】 考察在中国科协支持的项目中,新创办英文科技期刊的办刊情况,探析不同主办单位新创办英文期刊的特点及差异。【方法】 根据中国科协官网、国家新闻出版署及WoS提供的数据,统计分析受资助期刊数量、取得CN号的期刊数量、SCIE收录期刊数量,以及期刊引用指数(Journal Citation Indicator,JCI),归类统计与分析不同主办单位新创办英文期刊的情况。【结果】 在中国科技期刊国际影响力提升计划D类项目中,主办单位为高校的受资助期刊数量最多,学/协会和科研院所分列第二、第三。在中国科技期刊卓越行动计划高起点新刊项目中,主办单位为高校的受资助期刊数量仍排名第一,科研院所和学/协会分列第二、第三。从取得CN号、被SCIE收录、JCI等指标来考察,高校新创办的科技期刊的平均指标均高于其他主办单位的新创办期刊。学/协会主办新刊的各项指标整体低于高校和科研院所主办期刊。【结论】 高校和科研院所主办英文科技期刊表现较好;出版社新创办的英文期刊未来可期;而学/协会作为对外交流的重要载体,其新创办的英文期刊应有的地位和重要性彰显度尚有进步的空间,需要上级期刊管理部门助力其发展,通过支持一流期刊发展, 促进一流学会的建设。

Abstract:

[Purposes] This paper aims to investigate the status quo of new English scientific journals with different sponsors supported by China Association for Science and Technology, and analyze the characteristics and differences of them. [Methods] According to the data released on the official websites of China Association for Science and Technology, National Press and Publication Administration, and WoS, the number of selected journals, number of journals with CN numbers obtained, number of SCIE-indexed journals, and journal citation indicator (JCI) were statistically analyzed. Then the status quo of new English scientific journals with different sponsors was assessed. [Findings] Among the English journals in Category D of Project for Enhancing International Impact of China STM Journals, journals sponsored by universities outnumbered those sponsored by academic associations, and coming in third were the journals sponsored by research institutions. In the High Starting Point New Journal Project of Excellence Action Plan for China STM Journals, the number of selected journals sponsored by universities still ranked the first, and that sponsored by research institutions and academic associations took the second and the third places, respectively. The average number of journals with CN numbers obtained, number of SCIE-indexed journals, and JCI of journals sponsored by universities were the largest/highest, followed by those sponsored by research institutions, and the indexes of journals sponsored by academic associations came in last. [Conclusions] The various indexes of new English journals sponsored by universities and research institutions are higher, and publishers boast various resources for the new journals. Academic associations, as the main group for outbound communication, should attach high importance to the development of new English journals, and related authorities should support their development so that they can achieve the world-class level and further boost the development of academic associations.
