缩短科技期刊出版时滞策略及未来出版模式展望

Strategies for shortening publication delay and future publishing mode of scientific journals

摘要:

【目的】 基于现有的数字技术,给出一些缩短科技期刊出版时滞的具体方法,同时提出未来科技期刊按篇快速出版的设想,以期实现科技论文的快速出版。【方法】 首先选取26种高水平中文科技期刊,分析其2022年至少2期论文的平均出版时滞,并与国际知名期刊进行对比。然后基于文献报道、结合自身经验,详细论述如何使用新的数字出版技术大幅缩短出版时滞。【结果】 26种科技期刊的平均出版时滞为357天。利用大数据平台、人工智能、编排校软件、即时通信工具等数字化手段可以大幅缩短出版时滞。【结论】 我国科技期刊的出版时滞较长,与国际知名期刊有一定差距。数字技术可以大幅缩短科技期刊出版时滞。科技期刊的未来出版模式是人工智能辅助下的快速按篇数字出版。

Abstract:

[Purposes] This paper puts forward some digital technology-based methods to shorten publication delay of scientific journals and proposes the article-based publishing mode to accelerate the publication. [Methods] A total of 26 Chinese high-level scientific journals were selected to analyze the average publication delay of at least 2 issues in 2022. Then the publication delay was compared with that of world leading journals. Finally, on the basis of previous reports and our experience, we discussed how to use the new digital publishing technology to shorten the delay. [Findings] The average publication delay of 26 scientific journals is 357 days. Big data platform, artificial intelligence, editing software, instant messenger, and other digital means can remarkably shorten the publication delay. [Conclusions] The publication delay of Chinese scientific journals is longer than that of world leading journals and digital technology can greatly shorten the delay. Artificial intelligence-assisted article-based publishing is expected to be the future publishing mode of scientific journals.
