摘要： 目的 比较研究国内外材料科学期刊的发展形势,为我国该领域英文期刊的发展提供有价值的参考。方法 检索统计Scopus和SCI收录的材料科学期刊相关数据,研究分析全球材料科学期刊的发展趋势和我国材料科学英文期刊的发展现状,并讨论其发展中所面临的主要挑战与制约因素。结果 全球材料科学期刊和论文数量增长迅速,中国作者贡献的占比越来越大。而我国材料科学英文期刊的发展速度已严重滞后,出版能力和影响力亟待提高。结论 我国材料科学英文期刊在激烈的国际竞争中处于劣势,除了国际出版集团的垄断和冲击,其自身发展还受到科研评价机制、办刊理念、传播平台、编辑人才等因素的影响,未来发展有赖于管理层、学术界和出版界的共同努力。

Abstract: [Purposes] Based on the comparative analysis of the development status for materials science journals at home and abroad, this paper aims to provide a valuable reference for the development of China's English materials science journals. [Methods] With the statistical data of materials science journals searched from Scopus and SCI databases, the growth trend of global materials science journals was overviewed, and the performance of China's English materials science journals was analyzed. The main challenges and constraints faced by the development of China's materials science journals were discussed. [Findings] The analysis shows that the numbers of global materials science journals and papers grow rapidly in recent years, to which Chinese authors make an increasingly significant contribution. However, the development of China's English materials science journals is seriously lagging behind, and their publishing capability and influence need to be improved. [Conclusions] China's English materials science journals are at a disadvantage in the fierce international competition. In addition to the monopoly and impact of the international publishing groups, their development is also affected by factors such as the evaluation system of scie.pngic research, the outdated concept in journal operating, and the shortage of publishing platforms and editorial talents. Future development needs the joint efforts of management, academia, and the publishing community.
