【目的】 揭示国际高水平科技期刊非学术文章的特点,为我国科技期刊应用此类文章宣传其学术论文提供指导。【方法】 依据30种国际高水平科技期刊的2017年和2018年第1期内容,总结其非学术文章的篇幅、结构、对学术论文的宣传作用。【结果】 不同类型的非学术文章篇幅从50到6000个单词不等,而以100个单词左右和1000个单词左右最为常见;非学术文章大致呈Pizza结构,将学术论文最重要和最关键内容尽量突显于非学术文章的标题、副标题、边空中,或以加大字号等方式突出于正文中;标题一般追求七要点:短、分、亮、重、奇、妙、普;非学术文章必须把握被宣传论文的科学问题,以此吸引读者阅读非学术文章和被宣传的学术论文原文。【结论】 高水平期刊采用非学术文章对所发表的学术论文进行宣传的方法,值得我国科技期刊认真学习。
[Purposes] This study aims to reveal the characteristics of non-academic essays in international high-level scientific journals and provide guidance for Chinese scientific journals to promote their academic papers. [Methods] Based on the contents of the first issues of 2017 and 2018 published in 30 high-level scientific journals, we summarized the non-academic essays' length, structure, and their promotional effects on academic papers. [Findings] Due to the characteristics of the content of advertised articles, different types of non-academic essays are used for promotion, with the length ranging from 50 to 6000 words and the most common length of around 100 words and around 1000 words. These essays are roughly with pizza structure in which the most important and critical contents of academic papers are as featuring as possible in the title, subtitle, and side space, or enlarged font among the text, etc. The title generally pursues seven main points: short, divided, bright, heavy, strange, wonderful, and general. Non-academic essays must be targeted at people with a higher education background, and must be expressed in their language of science popularization. Non-academic essays in high-level scientific journals all grasp the scientific questions of the advertised academic papers, attracting readers with interest in reading these essays and the related academic papers. [Conclusions] High-level journals adopt non-academic essays advertising academic articles they published to catch broader reader's attention, which is worthy of serious study by Chinese scientific journals.
