新媒体时代综合性学术期刊面临的问题及差异化竞争策略——以《中国人口·资源与环境》为例

Challenges and differentiated competition strategies for comprehensive academic journals in the new media era: Case study of China Population, Resources and Environment

摘要: 目的 针对《中国人口·资源与环境》办刊过程中遇到的问题和竞争压力,分析总结期刊改革创新思路、采取的策略和实践效果,为综合性学术期刊发展提供参考。方法 采用实证分析法,从新媒体时代的传播特点出发,挖掘《中国人口·资源与环境》遇到的发展瓶颈问题,论证选题差异化竞争策略的实践效果。结果 中国人口·资源与环境》突出多学科交叉选题特色,形成差异化竞争优势;创建新媒体传播圈,拓展期刊传播的广度;筑牢学术质量“防火墙”,提高期刊出版质量;其期刊影响因子现已居同领域期刊前列。结论 综合性学术期刊应精准定位,突出期刊报道特色,采取差异化竞争策略。只有适应新媒体时代的传播特点,充分利用新媒体传播工具,才能提高期刊影响力,实现良性发展。

Abstract: [Purposes] This paper analyzes the challenges and competition pressures encountered in the publishing of China Population, Resources and Environment (CPRE), summarizes the innovation ideas, strategies, and practical effects of journal reform, and provides reference for the development of comprehensive academic journals. [Methods] Based on the characteristics of communication in the new media era, we analyzed the bottleneck problem in the development of CPRE, and demonstrated the practical effect of differentiated competition strategy in the topic selection. [Findings] CPRE highlights the characteristics of interdisciplinary subject selection to form differentiated competitive advantages, create new media communication circle to expand the scope of journal communication, and build a "firewall" of academic quality to improve the quality of journal. At present, the impact factor of CPRE has been at the forefront of journals in the same field. [Conclusions] Comprehensive academic journals should be accurately positioned, highlight the characteristics of journal, and adopt a differentiated competition strategy. Only by adapting to the characteristics of communication in the new media era and making full use of new media communication tools, can we enhance the influence of journals and achieve sound development.
