【目的】 构建客座编辑精准约稿策略,利用专家学术影响力吸引优质稿源,提升期刊学术影响力。【方法】 以《重庆医科大学学报》为研究对象,详细介绍其实施的客座编辑精准约稿策略,并以自然来稿为对照,采用秩和检验和趋势性卡方检验分析2015—2019年客座编辑精准约稿出版效果。【结果】 2015—2019年,《重庆医科大学学报》共邀请18位业界知名专家担任13期客座编辑实施精准约稿,出版专刊10期、专栏3期。2015—2019年客座编辑精准约稿的文章数量、总下载量、总被引频次占比总体呈上升趋势, 自然来稿则呈下降趋势。5年间客座编辑精准约稿的下载量高于自然来稿的下载量;2017年和2018年客座编辑精准约稿的被引频次高于自然来稿的被引频次。【结论】 基于客座编辑精准约稿策略,利用专家学术影响力吸引优质稿源,能够达到提升期刊学术影响力的预期目标,为医学综合科技期刊冲击一流期刊提供可靠助力。
[Purposes]This paper aims to summarize the strategy of guest editors' targeted manuscript solicitation so that journals can attract high-quality papers and improve academic impact by virtue of the academic influence of experts. [Methods] Taking Journal of Chongqing Medical University as an example, we introduced the strategy of guest editors' targeted manuscript solicitation in detail. The outcome of guest editors' targeted manuscript solicitation in 2015-2019 was analyzed by rank sum test and chi-square test for trend with author contributions as control. [Findings] From 2015 to 2019, Journal of Chongqing Medical University has invited 18 renowned experts as guest editors for soliciting contributions for 10 special issues and 3 special columns. The number, total downloads, and the total cites of papers solicited by guest editors from 2015 to 2019 showed an upward trend, while those of the natural contributions demonstrated a downward trend. The five-year total downloads of the former were more than those of the latter and the cited frequencies in 2017 and 2018 showed the same trend. [Conclusions]Guest editors' targeted manuscript solicitation can help journals attract high-quality papers via experts' academic influence, thereby improving the academic impact of them. Thus, it is the driving force to build first-class brands for comprehensive medical journals.
