摘要：

【目的】 了解公众对医学信息的关注和理解程度及期刊编辑在科技信息传播过程中的作用。【方法】 通过问卷调查,了解公众对医学信息的关心程度、获取途径及信任度。请受调查者试读一篇论文,并选择自己理解的文章结论。了解期刊编辑对论文的解释在帮助受调查者理解论文中的作用。【结果】 公众对医学信息的关注度普遍很高。来源于学术期刊的信息信任程度高,但难以看懂。公众对医学论文的理解容易被误导,且这种误导程度与教育程度并不相关。极少数受调查者能读懂医学论文,但大多数受调查者能读懂编辑对论文的解释。【结论】 公众对医学学术论文信任度高,但难以读懂,学术论文的结论容易被误读。医学科技期刊编辑对学术论文进行解释,有助于公众理解论文。

Abstract:

[Purposes] This study aims to investigate the public's attention and understanding of medical information and to analyze the role of journal editors in medical information propagation. [Methods] We designed a questionnaire to investigate the public's attention about medical information, the achieving approaches and the credibility of medical information. The respondents were requested to read a paper and then choose the conclusion according to their own understanding. We also analyzed the role of journal editors in explaining the paper to help the public understand the paper. [Findings] The public gives close attention to the medical information because of the high credibility of the information from medical journals, but it is difficult for the public to understand. Public's understanding of medical papers is easily to be misled, and this misleading degree is not associated with the level of education. Only a few respondents can understand the medical papers, but most of the respondents can get the meaning of the editor's interpretation. [Conclusions] The public has a high degree of trust in academic medical papers which are difficult to understand, and the conclusions of academic papers would be easily to be misread. It is helpful for the public to understand the meaning of the academic paper based on the medical journal editors' explaining.
