z指数用于中文社科学术期刊评价的实证研究——基于3个学科CSSCI来源期刊的样本分析

摘要:

【目的】 以具有三维评价内涵的z指数进行中文社科学术期刊评价,分析其应用于中文学术期刊评价的效力。【方法】 以教育学、法学、图书馆情报与文献学三个学科的CSSCI来源期刊为研究对象,计算各个期刊的发文量、总被引频次、h指数、g指数、p指数、引文分布一致性系数以及z指数等指标,进行指标之间的相关性分析,并计算对比不同统计周期、不同被引数据来源上的z指数。【结果】 三个学科期刊的z指数都与总被引频次、h指数、g指数、p指数指标显著正相关,但z指数排序结果在不同统计周期、不同被引数据来源、不同学科上存在差异。【结论】 在数量和质量的基础上,引入引文分布一致性系数来考虑引文分布状况的z指数将学术期刊评价指标拓展到三维层面,更具全面性和合理性,但由于被引数据来源的差异,z指数还需要进行更加广泛、全面的验证分析。

Abstract:

[Purposes] This paper aims to discuss the validity of zynergy(z)-index, a new three-dimensional (3D) evaluation index used for Chinese academic journals. [Methods] Taking the CSSCI source journals in the three disciplines of education, law, as well as library, information, and literature as the research objects, we calculated the total number of published papers, total citations, h-index, g-index, p-index, consistency of citation distribution η, and z-index of each journal, and analyzed the correlation of these indicators. Meanwhile, we compared the results of z-index on different periods and databases. [Findings] The z-index of the three subject journals is significantly correlated with the total citations, h-index, g-index, and p-index. However, the ranking results of z-index are not the same in different statistical periods, different cited data sources, and different disciplines. [Conclusions] On the basis of quantity and quality, η is introduced to analyze the citation distribution. The z-index extends the existing two-dimensional evaluation level to a new three-dimensional level, which is more comprehensive and reasonable. As a new index, the z-index is worthy to be extensively explored in the future, especially by using the data from different sources.
