[Purposes] This paper aims to analyze the success of the Wired to provide references to the science and technology journals in China. [Methods] Gathering much data from China and foreign countries and using case analysis and comprehensive analysis, this paper described development history of the Wired and summarized its successful experiences. [Findings] The Wired has many factors to its success, including clear orientation, innovative content, professional authors and editors, multimedia platform and internationalization of the brand extension. [Conclusions] We should absorb the successful experiences of the Wired by enhancing the cultural content, taking content as foundation, and taking the special feature as core. Moreover, we should integrate transmission platform to achieve all-media publishing.
