不同引证时间窗口影响因子对期刊排序的影响——以SSCI信息科学和图书馆学期刊为例

摘要:

目的】以SSCI信息科学和图书馆学期刊为例,探讨不同引证时间窗口影响因子对期刊排序的影响。【方法】以2004—2014年历年均被SSCI收录的35种信息科学与图书馆学期刊为研究对象,计算各刊2IF至10IF,结合被引高峰,得出学科最适引证时间窗口影响因子,并以此为基础对35种期刊排序,将各刊其余引证时间窗口影响因子期刊排序与之做Spearman秩相关分析。【结果】35种期刊被引高峰到来的时间平均为6.25年,故7IF为最适影响因子。相关性分析结果表明,不同引证时间窗口影响因子期刊排序间具有较高一致性,2IF与7IF的相关系数为0.987,低于5IF与7IF的相关系数0.993。【结论】对于信息科学与图书馆学期刊来说,不同引证时间窗口影响因子在期刊排序间具有较高的一致性。

Abstract:

[Purposes]Take journals in information science and library science in SSCI database as an example to discuss the influence of impact factor with different citation time w indows on journal ranking.[Methods]We selected 35 journals in information science and library science in SSCI database from 2004 to 2014 as research subjects and computed 2IF-10IF of each journal.Combining with the citation peak,obtained the impact factor with the most appropriate citation time w indow for this discipline and rank 35 journals so as to analyzed them in terms of journal rankings of the impact factor with other citation time w indows by the Spearman correlation test.[Findings]The average citation peak of 35 journals is 6.25 years,so 7IF is the appropriate impact factor.Relevantanalysis results show there is a high consistency between journal rankings based on impact factor with different citation timew indows.The correlation coefficientbetween 2IF and 7IF is0.987,which is lower than thatbetween 5IF and 7IF(correlation=0.993).[Conclusions]For journals in information science and library science, there is a high consistency between journal rankings based on impact factor with different citation time w indows.
