Abstract:
[Purposes] This paper aims to explore the role of scie.pngic journals in promoting the development of scie.pngic disciplines. [Methods] This paper briefly introduced the development history of Chinese Journal of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (CJTAM): the initial stage (1957-1977), the recovery and developing stage (1977-1990), and the fast-developing stage (1990-present). This paper also summarized the achievements that CJTAM guided the direction of mechanics research and promoted the scie.pngic discipline construction. [Findings] As the oldest mechanical journal in China, CJTAM promotes the establishment and development of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the nationwide mechanics research under the strong support of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and sponsor. [Conclusions] Scie.pngic journals play an important role in promoting the development of disciplines which should take the responsibility of disseminating the latest scie.pngic and technological achievements, promoting the development of disciplines, and discovering and cultivating scie.pngic and technological talents, provide support for innovation-driven development, and make substantial contributions to serving the world's technological powers and constructing a modern economic system.

摘要: 目的 探索科技期刊对学科发展的推动作用。方法 回顾《力学学报》的发展历程,先后经历创刊阶段(1957—1977年)、恢复与发展阶段(1977—1990年)及蓬勃发展阶段(1990年至今);概述《力学学报》在引领力学科研方向和推动学科发展方面取得的成效。结果 《力学学报》作为国内办刊历史最长的力学期刊,在主管单位中国科学院及主办单位的大力支持下,推动中国科学院乃至全国力学学科的建设与发展。结论 科技期刊对于学科建设与发展起到明显的促进作用;科技期刊应以传播最新科技成果、推动学科发展、发现和培养科技人才为己任,为创新驱动发展提供支撑,为服务世界科技强国与现代化经济体系建设作出实质性贡献。
