Abstract:

[Purposes] This study aims to analyze the current situation of journal publishing and platform development of the Alliance of Crop, Soil, and Environmental Science Societies (ACSESS) in the United States and provide references for the clustering development of agricultural journals sponsored by agricultural societies in China. [Methods] Network research was employed to analyze the publishing mode of journals included by ACSESS website and sponsored by the American Society of Agronomy, Crop Science Society of America, and Soil Science Society of America, and the current status of academic platform development of ACSESS was summarized. The results were compared with the platform construction and journal publishing status of three China's agricultural societies (China Association of Agricultural Science Societies, Crop Science Society of China, and Soil Science Society of China). [Findings] ACSESS has facilitated cooperation at two levels: between academic societies and Wiley, as well as among the three societies themselves. The ACSESS academic platform has promoted intensive publishing and operation of journals sponsored by the three agricultural societies, achieving collaborative publishing and organization of academic conferences, integration of journal resources, and diversified promotion. The three agricultural societies in China still have shortcomings in society cooperation, platform development for clustering publishing, and establishment of English journal portfolios. [Conclusions] Establishing an alliance helps multiple agricultural societies establish a normalized cooperation mechanism. The societies can jointly build a cluster digital publication platform for agricultural sciences and collaborate on journal management, academic conference organization, and clustering promotion, so as to promote the clustering development of agricultural journals and interdisciplinary development of agricultural sciences in China.

【目的】分析美国农业领域学会联合体ACSESS(Alliance of Crop, Soil, and Environment Science Societies)的期刊出版和平台建设现状,为我国农业领域学会期刊的集群化发展提供参考。【方法】采用网络调研法分析ACSESS网站汇集的由美国农学会、美国农作物科学协会和美国土壤科学协会主办的期刊的出版模式以及ACSESS学术平台建设现状,并与我国农业领域3个学会(中国农学会、中国作物学会和中国土壤学会)的平台建设和期刊出版现状进行比较。【结果】 ACSESS促成2个层面的合作,即学会与Wiley出版社的合作以及3个学会之间的合作。ACSESS学术平台集约化出版和运营美国3个农业学会的期刊,实现学会联合办刊、联合办会、期刊资源整合及多元化推广。我国3个农业学会在学会合作、集群化出版平台建设、创办英文刊群等方面仍然存在不足。【结论】成立学会联合体有助于多个农业学会建立常态化的合作机制,共建农业科学集群化数字出版平台,通过学会联合办刊、联合办会和集群化推广,推动我国农业期刊的集群化发展以及农业科学的交叉融合发展。
