Abstract:

[Purposes] This paper introduces a classical quality management method, PDCA cycle, in order to improve the effect of journal review. [Methods] By introducing the basic concepts and characteristics of PDCA cycle, we analyzed the role of PDCA cycle in the review of medical academic journals and its enlightenment to the review work. [Findings] The application of PDCA cycle in medical academic journal review has brought remarkable effects, such as further improvement of the review system, clearer review standards, advancement of expert database construction, more timely feedback of the review results, and more obvious review effect. [Conclusions] In the review of medical academic journals, supervisors, sponsors, and publishers should take an active part in it, guide practice with PDCA cycle theory, improve the effect of review, form a virtuous cycle situation, and realize the integration of management theory and practice of review.

【目的】介绍一种经典的质量管理方法——PDCA循环,以提高期刊审读的工作效果。【方法】通过对PDCA循环基本概念及特点的介绍,分析PDCA循环在优化和创新医学学术期刊审读工作中的实践,以及对审读工作的启示。【结果】在医学学术期刊审读工作中运用PDCA循环所带来的显著效果包括:使审读制度进一步完善,审读标准更明晰,专家库建设得到推进,审读结果反馈更及时,审读效果更明显。【结论】在医学学术期刊审读工作中,主管、主办、出版单位均应积极参与其中,以PDCA循环理论指导审读工作实践,提升审读效果,形成良性循环态势,实现管理理论与审读实践的融合贯通。
