Abstract:

[Purposes] The paper aims to investigate the current status and standardization of video publication in medical electronic journals in China. [Methods] We searched the manuscripts published with videos on the official websites of 40 electronic journals of Chinese Medical Association during September 25-30, 2017, and analyzed the video content, presentation, copyright, production, storage, playback, quotations and other aspects to investigate the current status and existing problems of video publication. [Findings] The websites of 8 journals can not be visited. Among the remaining 32 journals, 11 journals had less than 10 videos in the related column and they were updated very slowly, 2 journals had citation information, 4 journals had links to other public platforms, and 3 journals had comments section below the video. In addition, the standardization degree of instruction for authors, recording, and playback was not high. [Conclusions] Most of the video publication in this survey is still in the initial stage. There is still much space for the improvement on video technology and standardization.

【目的】 了解国内医学电子期刊视频栏目出版现状及规范化程度。【方法】 检索40种中华医学会电子版期刊的官方网站刊载的视频稿件,调查视频的内容、呈现形式、稿约、版权、制作、储存、播放、传播、引用等情况,分析其存在的问题。调查时间为2017年9月25—30日。【结果】 因8种期刊网站无法打开,最终32种期刊纳入研究。期刊网站视频栏目中11种期刊放置的视频数量少于10个,且更新速度较慢;仅2种期刊的视频有引用信息;4种期刊视频窗口有分享至其他公众平台的链接;3种期刊设置有评论专区。此外,视频稿约、录制、播放等方面的规范化程度不高。【结论】 视频栏目在所调查的大部分期刊中还处于初级发展阶段,视频技术和栏目规范化方面的上升空间很大。
