摘要： 实地调研了日本物质材料研究所，日本钢铁协会、日本金属学会，重点了解了这些机构主办的材料、冶金类期刊的发展状况，包括期刊管理、运作方式、出版发行、国际合作等。与国内相关期刊进行了对比，阐明了存在的共性问题，以及他们的解决办法。借鉴他们好的经验，将更有利于中国材料、冶金类期刊的发展和进步。
