Abstract:

[Purposes] This paper aims to explore the new mode of open peer review of eLife, and provide references for the reform of peer review system in Chinese scientific journals. [Methods] By collecting, identifying, and analyzing the literature and network information, the new open peer review mode of eLife was introduced, and its characteristics and shortcomings were analyzed. [Findings] The open peer review mode of eLife has the following characteristics: transformation of reviewers' responsibility, transparent form of collaborative drive, and high review efficiency. At the same time, the open peer review mode also has certain deficiencies, including a single form of discussion among reviewers, and authors are still worry about the prospects of eLife. [Conclusions] In general, eLife has a certain reference to the peer review of Chinese scientific journals. Chinese scientific journals should actively explore open peer review, establish an author-driven peer review mechanism, enhance the interaction among the reviewers, acknowledge reviewers' contributions, and establish a review system combining pre-publication and post-publication, so as to improve the peer review system of Chinese scientific journals.

【目的】 探究eLife开放同行评审新模式,为我国期刊改革同行评审制度提供参考。【方法】 通过搜集、鉴别、分析文献与网络信息,介绍eLife新型开放同行评审模式,分析其特点和不足。【结果】 eLife开放同行评审模式具有评审主体职能转变、协同驱动形式透明、评审效率高等特点。同时,也存在审稿人之间的讨论形式单一、作者对eLife的发展前景存在担忧等不足之处。【结论】 总体来看,eLife对我国同行评审制度有一定的借鉴作用,我国科技期刊应积极探索开放式同行评审制度,建立基于作者驱动的同行评审程序,增强审稿人之间的互动、承认审稿人的贡献,建立出版前和出版后相结合的评审体系等,以改善我国期刊同行评审制度。
