Abstract:

[Purposes] This study is to find out the type, quantity, and distribution characteristics of Chinese-English bilingual journals, summarize the role of different modes in the development of journals, analyze the problems faced by bilingual publication, and put forward countermeasures to solve these problems, so as to promote the healthy development of Chinese-English bilingual journals. [Methods] This research mainly adopted the methods of network survey and telephone consultation to investigate the publication of Chinese-English bilingual journals. [Findings] The modes of bilingual publication can be divided into publishing house/editorial office publishing mode, cooperative publisher mode, and database integration publishing mode according to publisher. Also, the modes can be divided into bilingual contrast publishing mode and bilingual mixed publication mode based on the publishing form. Bilingual publication has played an important role in promoting the internationalization of Chinese scientific journals. [Conclusions] In order to determine whether to continue or terminate bilingual publication, bilingual publishing journals should have clear objectives. Increasing international communication channels is the key to bilingual publication.

摘要：

目的 查明我国中英双语期刊办刊模式的种类、数量、分布特征;总结不同办刊模式在期刊发展中的作用;分析双语出版面临的问题并提出这些问题的解决对策,以促进我国双语出版期刊的健康发展。方法 主要采用网络调查、电话咨询的方式调查中英双语期刊的出版情况。结果 双语出版按出版主体分为期刊社(编辑部)双语出版模式、合作出版商双语出版模式、数据库商集成双语出版模式。按出版形式可分为双语对照出版模式和双语混合出版模式。双语出版在推进我国科技期刊国际化的历史进程中发挥了重要的作用。结论 双语出版期刊应该明确目标,选择继续进行双语出版或者终止双语出版;增加国际传播途径是双语出版的关键。
