Necessity and feasibility analysis for VR/AR technology embedded in Sci-Tech periodical publishing

科技期刊出版中嵌入VR/AR技术的必要性和可行性分析

Abstract:

[Purposes] This study aims to promote the integration of Sci-Tech periodical publishing and the virtual reality/augmented reality (VR/AR) technology in order to improve readers experience and realize maximization of Sci-Tech information communication by discussing the necessity and feasibility of the integration. [Methods] Based on the characteristics of VR/AR technology, the superiority and necessity of the integration of Sci-Tech periodical and VR/AR technology were analyzed by comparing with the traditional Sci-Tech periodicals. The feasibility of the integration was analyzed from the perspectives of government policy, experience in VR/AR book publishing, production cost allocation and specific operation. [Findings] The functions of scene restoring, 3D reshaping and real-time interaction make the VR/AR technology help perform the function of information dissemination and communication of Sci-Tech periodicals. With the policy support and the reference of VR/AR publishing experience, the integration of Sci-Tech periodical publishing and VR/AR technology can be realized through the cross-border cooperation of authors, editors and VR/AR technical staffs. [Conclusions] It is necessary and feasible to embed VR/AR technology into the publication of Sci-Tech periodicals.

【目的】 探讨科技期刊出版中嵌入虚拟现实/增强现实(VR/AR)技术的必要性和可行性,推动科技期刊出版与VR/AR技术的融合,以提升读者体验,实现科技信息传播效果的最大化。【方法】 结合VR/AR技术的特点,在与传统科技期刊相比较的基础上分析科技期刊出版与VR/AR技术融合的优越性与必要性;从政府政策、VR/AR图书出版经验、制作费用分配和具体操作方面分析科技期刊与VR/AR技术融合的可行性。【结果】 VR/AR技术的场景式还原与立体化重塑、实时交互性等功能能更好地发挥科技期刊的信息传播和交流平台作用;在政策扶持下,借鉴VR/AR图书出版经验,通过作者、编辑与VR/AR技术人员的跨界合作,可以实现科技期刊出版与VR/AR技术的融合。【结论】 科技期刊出版中嵌入VR/AR技术具有必要性和可行性。
