Significance of planning and publishing commemorative issues on the promotion of brand influence and the ability of the editorial department

策划出版纪念专刊对提升期刊品牌影响力和编辑部工作能力的意义

Abstract:

[Purposes] The commemorative issue of authors'institutes, which was produced by the overall planning, provides a way to promote the brand influence, the construction of themanuscript source base, and the ability of the editorial department of university periodicals.[Methods] The 10 th issue of Journal of Shanghai Jiao Tong University(Medical Science)in 2015 was a commemorative issue.Taking itas an example,we changed the conventional integration ofarticles to the academic packaging of the authors'institutes to meet their demands.The editorial department produced and issued precisely an academic boutique fused with academics, humanities and arts through a field survey on the demands and academic characteristics of institutes.Then, we analyzed the quality of themanuscripts in the special issue,the construction of themanuscriptsource base and the improvementof the abilities of the editorial department.[Findings] The quality of themanuscripts in the special issue was superior to the others in common issues.The construction of themanuscript source base was consolidated and expanded.And the abilities of the editorial department were improved.[Conclusions] Commemorative issues produced by the overall planning can obviously promote the brand influence of journals.

摘要:

目的 通过整体策划及实施纪念专刊,为提升高校学报类期刊的品牌影响力、稿源基地建设以及编辑部工作能力探索方法。方法 以《上海交通大学学报(医学版)》纪念专刊为例,从作者单位的需求出发,将期刊的形式由常规论文的集成上升到整体学术包装。编辑部实地调研医院需求及学科特点,制作学术、人文、艺术相融合的期刊,并精确发行。分析对比专刊的稿件质量、稿源基地的建设效果、编辑部能力的提升状况。结果 专刊稿件质量优于常规刊,稿源基地建设得到巩固和扩展,编辑部的能力得到提升。结论 整体策划的纪念专刊,对期刊品牌影响力和编辑部工作能力的提升有明显的促进作用。
