摘要： 简要介绍了中国科学引文数据库的来源文献、引文数据的加工原则、检索和统计分析功能以及印刷版、光盘版产品，结合实例讨论了利用该库数据在科技期刊统计分析和评价工作中的应用，介绍了该库扩大来源期刊收录范围、研制出版《中国科技期刊引文报告》等的情况。

Abstract: Meng Liansheng．Chinese Science Citation Database and It's Application in Evaluation of Sci-tech Journals,Chinese Journal of Scientific and Technical Periodicals,1997.8(2):13～15 Chinese Science Citation Database(CSCD)，WhiCh has been built by the Documentation and Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences since 1989，is the first citatiin database in China．Up to now more than 200 000 source articles and more than 700 000 Chinese Citations have been cumulated in CSCD．The source articles of CSCD were selected from more than 300 periodicals of varied scientific and technical subjects published in China，both Chinese and English editions．A quaterly citation retrieval journal,Chinese Science Citation Index(CSCI)and the first CD-ROM edition of CSCI covering 1991～1994 data of CSCD were published in 1996．The number of source journals of CSCD has enlarged to about 600 since 1996．In this article，CSCD and it’s products were introduced and the application of CSCD in evaluation of sci-tech journals were discussed．
