摘要： 21世纪科技期刊编辑工作具有新的特点，而读者的心理与行为也将有巨大的变化，对编辑人才素质提出了更高的要求，探讨编辑人才的培养是当前编辑出版界关注的热点。创设优良的成长环境，让编辑学会扮演好自己的角色，建立起适宜的“压任务”和“担担子”的激励机制，培养出合格的编辑人才，才能适应21世纪对编辑工作的需要。

Chinese Journal of Scientific and Technical Periodicals,1997，8(1)：38～40 The 21th century editing for scientific journals will take on new characteristics,and the psychology and behavior of the readers will also bear great changes,which put forward the further requirements of the quali- ty of the editors for the 21th century editing.Hence,at present,the exploration of the training of editing tal-ents is the hot topic in the editing and publishing circle. The creation of suitable growing environment,the learning of playing their roles,the setup of appropriate incentive mechanism of”external impetus”and" in-ternal impetus”，are to be done to foster qualified editors for 21th century．
