摘要： 本文阐述了科枝期刊编辑怎样适应学科专业化的挑战，并就科学技术的首创权和日益国际化趋势作了初步探讨。笔者认为，随着电子出版技术的不断发展，21世纪将形成传统科技期刊和光盘科技期刊共分天下的新格局。强调科技期刊编辑只有通过不断充实、丰富自己的知识库，努力提高自身的综合分析能力和对未来科学发展的预测能力，积极学习掌握电子出版技术，才能胜任本职，适应未来科学技术发展的挑战，才能为繁荣我国科技期刊事业作出应有的贡献。

Abstract: Cai Yihong.The challenges faced by the editorship of scientific and technical periodicals,Chinese Journal of Scientific and Technical Periodicals,1997，8(1)：1～4 The purpose of this study was to meet the challenges of the speciality and synthesis of the editorship of the scientific and technical periodical．And an initial inquisition of the original right and the increasing interan-tionality of science and technology was made as well．The author considered that along with the continuous development of the electronic publishing,in the 21th century,the new pattern of publishing would be as that;the CD plays an important role as well as the tradirional periodicals in the field of science and technology The editors must improve their quality and a bility of analysis,synthesis and forecasting,study and grasp the elec-tronic publishing technique,in order that they could be competent for their own work,mcet the challenges of future development of the science and technology,and make greater contributions to the cause of the publish-ing of our country．
