摘要:

【目的】期刊同质化发展浪费宝贵科研资源,导致稿源竞争,诱发科研不端,不利于科技创新。应精准识别和分析我国英文学术期刊同质化问题,优化期刊布局,促进不同学科领域的均衡发展,提升我国学术期刊的国际影响力。【方法】 引入论文层次分类体系,提出并设计领域相似度、期刊-期刊相似度和期刊-领域相似度的算法,挖掘期刊之间内容同质化问题,同时在考虑同质化问题时引入期刊影响力维度,反映不同层次期刊的同质化情况。【结果】 揭示我国471种英文学术期刊的学科集中与分散情况,通过数据遴选期刊集中度较高的数学、材料科学和物理与天体物理,深入分析其期刊在主题层面的同质化情况。【结论】 我国数学领域期刊整体影响力有限,存在单影响力层次同质化;材料科学领域的期刊存在多影响力层次同质化;物理与天体物理领域期刊在光学方向上存在多影响力层次同质化。

Abstract:

[Purposes] The homogenization of journal development in China wastes valuable research resources, fosters competition for submissions, triggers research misconduct, and hinders scientific innovation. This study aims to accurately identify and analyze the homogenization issue in Chinese English-language academic journals, optimize journal distribution, promote balanced development across different disciplines, and enhance the international impact of Chinese academic journals. [Methods] We introduced a paper-level classification system, proposing and designing algorithms for domain similarity, journal-journal similarity, and journal-domain similarity. These algorithms uncovered content homogenization issues between journals while considering journal impact dimensions to reflect homogenization across different tiers of journals. [Findings] The study reveals the concentration and dispersion of 471 Chinese English-language academic journals across disciplines. It selects data to examine journals with high concentration in Mathematics, Materials Science, and Physics and Astrophysics, analyzing their homogenization at thematic levels. [Conclusions] Chinese journals in the field of Mathematics exhibit limited overall impact and single-tier homogenization. Journals in Materials Science show multi-tier homogenization in impact levels, while Physics and Astrophysics demonstrate multi-tier homogenization in optics.
