摘要:

【目的】分析国内数字出版平台SciOpen培育和创办英文新刊的功能和效果,以期为英文新刊的创办提供指引和借鉴,助力中国自主建设数字出版平台的发展和自主新刊的创办。【方法】 以基于SciOpen平台自主创办的5种英文新刊为研究对象,从标准化建设路径、集群化发展模式、国际化传播体系、平台运营服务支撑等方面探讨办刊关键举措,总结SciOpen平台自主创办英文新刊的经验。【结果】 SciOpen平台注重创新出版模式、夯实技术支持、提供公共支持服务和服务学术传播,加快英文新刊的创办速度和全球传播。依托SciOpen数字出版平台,新创办期刊可快速提高学术影响力和国际化程度。【结论】 国内数字出版平台SciOpen支持英文科技期刊自主创办,实现科技期刊出版与传播由“借船出海”到“造船出海”的转变,为我国加快培育一流科技期刊作出重要贡献。

Abstract:

[Purposes] This study analyzes the functions and effects of cultivating and establishing new English sci-tech journals based on the domestic digital publishing platform SciOpen, aiming to provide guidance and reference for the establishment of new English sci-tech journals and contribute to the development of China's independently constructed digital publishing platforms and establishment of independent new journals. [Methods] Taking 5 new English sci-tech journals launched on the SciOpen platform as the research objects, we discussed the key measures for running journals from aspects such as the standardized construction path, cluster development mode, international communication system, and platform operation service support, and summarized the experience of independently launching English sci-tech journals on the SciOpen platform. [Findings] The SciOpen platform focuses on innovative publishing mode, solid technical support, public support service, and academic communication, which accelerate the establishment, and global dissemination of new English sci-tech journals. Relying on the SciOpen digital publishing platform, the newly established journals have rapidly improved their academic influence and internationalization process. [Conclusions] As a domestic digital publishing platform, SciOpen supports the independent establishment of English sci-tech journals, realizing the transformation of sci-tech journal publishing and communication from "borrowing a ship to go to sea" to "building a ship to go to sea" and making significant contributions to accelerating the cultivation of first-class sci-tech journals in China.
