Abstract:

[Purposes] This study aims to sum up the features of papers submitted by the third party, and propose preventive strategies. [Methods] Data of papers which were submitted by the third party based on certain characteristics, such as ending with tg, tgyx, and yxtg in the E-mail addresses were collected to analyze the features, and the deadline was July 31, 2017. [Findings] A total of 431 papers were enrolled while the other 9 papers were excluded after comprehensive evaluation. The analysis results show the situation of papers submitted by the third party is severe. The third party submits papers without any definite purposes, so its behavior involves a lot of journals. In addition, there are no signed authors in papers, and the location sites of telephone numbers are often inconsistent with the location sites of affiliations registered in the system. [Conclusions] For distinguishing the papers submitted by the third part from normal papers, the editors should constantly upgrade their attainments and find various evidence.
