摘要：

【目的】 以Genes & Diseases封面图像设计为例,探讨封面设计新模式,为同类科技期刊封面设计提供实践经验。【方法】 总结国内外代表性期刊Cell、Cell Research和Protein & Cell的封面设计经验,分析Genes & Diseases 封面图像设计特征,并统计分析封面文章的学术影响力,评价封面设计策略的有效性。【结果】 学术编辑在封面设计中扮演了重要角色,能够恰当选择封面文章,提高期刊学术影响力,并且有效提高期刊封面的设计效率和设计水平。【结论】 我国生物医学类科技期刊应重视封面设计,以有效提升我国科技期刊的国际影响力。

Abstract:

[Purposes] This paper discusses a new cover design model taking the cover image design of Genes & Diseases as an example, which aims at providing design experience for other scientific journals. [Methods] We summarized the artistic features on the cover design of domestic and overseas biological scientific journals such as Cell, Cell Research, and Protein & Cell, analyzed the cover design features of Genes & Diseases, analyzed the academic influence of cover articles, and evaluated the effectiveness of cover design strategies. [Findings] Academic editors play an important role responsible for cover design. They are responsible for selecting cover articles which would contribute to the academic influence of journals, as well as guiding the cover design with high efficiency and levels. [Conclusions] Biomedical scientific journals in China should attach importance to the cover image design which would enhance the international academic influence of scientific journals.
