摘要：

【目的】 通过多维度定量分析、评价bioRxiv的影响力,为预印本平台建设、学术期刊转型发展提供建议。【方法】 以2013年11月至2019年2月bioRxiv预印本为样本,利用Excel、SPSS等统计分析工具,结合文献计量方法,全面分析发文量、使用量、浏览量的变化,以及机构分布、作者分布、出版流向分布、版本更新分布情况。【结果】 bioRxiv发文量呈指数增长,发表率、使用量、浏览量较高。高影响力机构、作者具有相对较高的发文量,但机构分散,作者发文量普遍较低。预印本具有较高的学术质量,倾向于发表在高影响力OA期刊上。该平台的开放评论活跃度较低。【结论】 bioRxiv已具有一定的影响力,呈现繁荣发展的态势,但尚未到达成熟稳定的发展阶段。针对实证研究结果,提出的建议包括联合力量,促进权威机构共同参与预印本平台建设;加强宣传,提高科研人员对预印本平台的认同度;深入变革,发展依托预印本平台的新型学术出版模式;创新探索,建立多渠道的有效开放评论机制。

Abstract:

[Purposes] This paper evaluates the impact of bioRxiv through multi-dimensional quantitative analysis and provides suggestions for the construction of preprint platforms and the transformation and development of academic journals. [Methods] Taking the preprints in bioRxiv from November 2013 to February 2019 as samples, we analyzed the change of quantity about documents, usage, pageviews, and distribution of institutions, authors, publication flow, and version update using statistical analysis tools such as Excel and SPSS, combined with bibliometrics methods. [Findings] The number of preprints in bioRxiv has increased exponentially, and the publication rate, usage, and pageviews are high. Highly influential institutions and authors have relatively high publishing volume, but the institutions are scattered and the publishing volume of authors is generally low. Preprints are of high academic quality and tend to be published in high-impact OA journals. The bioRxiv platform has a low level of open comment activity. [Conclusions] The bioRxiv has a certain impact and presents a trend of prosperity. But it has not yet reached a mature and stable development stage. Suggestions include joint efforts to promote the participation of authoritative institutions in the construction of preprint platforms; strengthen publicity and improve the recognition of preprint platforms by scientific researchers; deepen reform and develop a new academic publishing model based on preprint platforms; and explore and establish an effective open comment mechanism with multiple channels.
