摘要：

【目的】探讨我国英文科技期刊被ESCI数据库收录的策略。【方法】以2016年ESCI收录的我国31种英文科技期刊为样本,从出版周期、国际出版社合作和其他数据库收录、国际编委比例与引文影响力4个方面采集数据进行分析。【结果】国内英文科技期刊申请ESCI收录的策略包括创刊时采用季刊或双月刊出版;与国际出版社合作,采用国际投审稿系统处理稿件等。在申请ESCI收录的同时,多数期刊也在寻求被其他重要数据库如Scopus收录。国际编委会在提升期刊学术质量和影响力方面发挥重要作用。此外,注重文章被引频次的积累,从而提升竞争优势,争取被ESCI收录后能快速被SCIE收录也是多数期刊采取的重要策略。【结论】建议国内英文科技期刊借鉴已收录期刊的经验,重视ESCI对提升期刊影响力的作用。

Abstract:

[Purposes] This paper aims to explore the strategies of English scientific journals in China indexed in ESCI, and provide references for other English scientific journals in China. [Methods] Thirty-one journals indexed in ESCI in 2016 were selected as the sample. Data were collected and analyzed on journal publication period, collaboration with international publishers, indexing by other relevant databases, percentage of overseas editorial board members, and citation influence. [Findings] Most journals are published quarterly or bimonthly. They cooperate with international publishers and use international manuscript online systems to deal with the submissions. Besides applying to ESCI, they also contact other databases such as Scopus. International editorial board plays an important role in improving journal impact. ESCI journals pay attention to article citations in a bid to strengthen their competitiveness and be indexed in SCIE. [Conclusions] It is suggested that English scientific journals in China draw on the experience of ESCI journals as coverage in ESCI is important to improve journal impact.
