H5指数评价中国材料类SCI期刊的适用性研究

Applicability of H5 index for assessing the Chinesematerials of SCI journals

摘要:

【目的】分析H5指数评价中国材料类SCI期刊的适用性,从而为我国材料学期刊的健康发展,尤其是更好地提高其国内外影响力提供参考。【方法】以Web of Science(WoS)数据库和Google Scholar Metrics(GSM)数据库收录的14种中国材料类SCI期刊为样本,对H5指数评价中国材料类SCI期刊的适用性进行研究。【结果】H5指数与总被引频次、影响因子(IF)、5年影响因子(IF5)具有很强的相关性,能够从期刊的论文数和总被引频次的角度来评价论文质量与学术影响力,并且兼顾了期刊生产力和影响力。H5指数主要是对期刊的持续影响力进行评估,IF是对期刊近两年影响力进行评估。【结论】合理采用H5指数和IF两种评价体系对我国材料类SCI期刊进行综合评估才相对全面和客观。

Abstract:

[Purposes]The applicability of H5 index for assessing the Chinesematerials of SCI journals is analyzed to promote the healthy development of Chinese materials of SCI journals, in particular, to better enhance its influence at home and abroad.[Methods] Fourteen kinds of Chinesematerials of SCI journals covered by Web of Science(WoS) and Google Scholar Metrics(GSM)databases were selected as samples to study the applicability of H5 index for assessing the Chinese materials of SCI journals.[Findings] H5 index has strong correlation w ith total citation index, impact factor(IF) and 5-year impact factor(IF5).H5 index can evaluate the quality and academic influence of papers from the perspective of citable items and total cites,and H5 index takes into account the influence and productivity of journals.H5 index can assess the continuing impact of journals,while IF can assess the impact of journals in the past two years.[Conclusions] Using both of the evaluation systems of H5 and IF indexes reasonably to assess the Chinesematerials of SCI journals is relatively comprehensive and objective.
